Sunday Service
Join us this Sunday at 10am for a Joint Service as we celebrate the 64th Anniversary of Marshall.  The Service will be lead by Rev. Michael Putnam

Name Tags
Please wear your name tags during the Services so that Rev. Étienne can learn your names.  This is also helpful in identifying the visitors among us and making them feel welcome.

Senior's Social

Join us Monday, October 22, 2018 from 1-2:30 in the Gathering Place for a cup of  coffee or tea and a sweet and enjoy the company of other Seniors in our community. Please bring in a small memento that you would like to share with the group.

 

Wednesday Discussion Group
On October 24, 2018 the Wednesday Discussion Group will be meeting again.  Our focus will be on "Christianity's Family Tree" by Adam Hamilton.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Receiving New Members - November 18, 2018
Are you interested or curious about becoming a full member of Marshall United? We receive new members twice a year, in the Fall and at Pentecost.  Our next ceremony will happen during  worship on November 18.  Prospective new members are required to attend two membership sessions led by Rev. Étienne on October 29 and November 12,  from 6-7pm. Please sign up or send your questions to  revetienne@gmail.com  or by contacting the office by October 25.

Christmas in Bethlehem
Once again, Marshall will be presenting a fun, interactive community event for families:  Christmas in Bethlehem. This event will be held on December 15th, and will incorporate a nativity drama, craft and activity stations set in a Bethlehem marketplace, a cafe and a photo station. Although our stations will not be exactly as described in this video, here is a link that will tell you more about the event in general:


Right now, we are looking for 3-4 volunteers to help plan and organize the event and 3-4 others who will coordinate publicity and media outreach. A  sign-up sheet is in the foyer, or you can email Judy:   judy.vanduzer@hotmail.com 

Soup Sunday
Come and enjoy our "Soup Sunday" on October 28, 2018 at 11:45am.  Enjoy soup, rolls, tea, coffee and dessert.  The cost is $10.00 per person.  Tickets will be available at the door on the 28th.

Joy Day
Many of you have been asking about "JOY DAY".  I have even had ladies wanting to pay me their  $25.00  right now to make sure that they have their seats secured. How joyful is that?  It will be held on Saturday  December 8th  at the  Waterfront Centre  once again, beginning at  10:30 a.m .
