SCORE Chico Lends Support to Entrepreneurs Affected by Wildfire

In the aftermath of California's Camp Fire, SCORE Chico mentors are helping with local business recovery efforts. More than half of the Chico chapter's volunteers had to evacuate their own homes for a period of time due to the fire. In spite of this, SCORE Chico mentors have been participating in weekly meetings and donating their time at the SBA's disaster recovery center.

"Along with SBDC, [we] have been giving it our all to help," says SCORE Chico chapter chair Mike Burson. "Our mentors have added counseling time as needed to keep up with the demand and the SCORE Sacramento office has offered to help."

Thank you to our SCORE Chico mentors for doing pivotal work that will make such a difference for fellow business owners and community members affected by the Camp Fire.
