Groundhog Day

February 2nd is observed in the U.S. as a day that indicates whether winter will end soon. Tradition says, that if a Groundhog sees its shadow because the sun is shining on February 2nd, the winter will last six more weeks, and if it does not see its shadow because of cloudy weather, the winter will end soon.
 
Let's hope the Groundhog does not see his shadow and this winter will be over soon!

Brown Bag Sunday

On the third Sunday of every month, we collect and bless the donations placed inside the bins in the Narthex of the Church.
 
There are many families in Ashland that rely on the generosity of others to supplement their limited grocery budget.
  
Would you please consider picking up a few extra non-perishable food items while you are doing your grocery shopping?
       
You may bring them to the Church on Sunday morning or  drop them off at the Church during the week.  All items are delivered to the Ashland Food Pantry.

Valentine's Day is a holiday that happens on February 14th. It is the day of the year when people show their love to each other.  This can be done by giving flowers, chocolates,  Valentine's cards or just a small gift.  You can also do something nice for a Friend on Valentine's Day.
