Jesus Teaches
Throughout October, look for a series of messages from the Stewardship Committee that reflect on Jesus' teachings about money as well as personal statements from families and individuals about giving. These reflections and statements invite all of us to consider anew the meaning of Christ-centered stewardship. We will begin asking for your 2019 financial commitment after the Feast of All Saints' Day, November 1st.

"We give to Saint Paul's because it's our Home: Home for our spiritual life; Home for our children to grow in Christ; Home for our calling to spread the peace and love of God."

    - Bryan & Michelle Hawkins

For more than 60 years we have considered Saint Paul's our home. Whenever we enter the sanctuary of we feel uplifted. Saint Paul's is such an important part of our lives and has given our family so much that we feel a strong obligation to support it financially. Each year we increase our pledge a little. Finally, we have reached the 10% mark of our income.

We also need to install pine straw after the planting has been completed. Are you available to help from 8-10 AM on Saturday, October 20? If so, please email Keith Shafer  or call him at (706) 724-2485 x 215. The work on the 20th will dress up the triangle just in time for the 125th anniversary celebration of the Augusta Town Committee of the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in the State of Georgia which is being held at Saint Paul's on Thursday, October 25. They are coming to dedicate the Franklinia Altamaha that was planted several weeks ago that replaces the previous tree that died.

FAITH - Whom Do We Trust?
This Week: Session 4 - October 21

This week we will explore a number of Anglican beliefs, focusing specifically on the theology of the Apostle's Creed, the creed of Baptism and a public prayer and statement about God's love for us and our response to God's love.

The short book Your Faith, Your Life: An Invitation to the Episcopal Church  will supplement and shape our conversations.

CHILDREN

WEAVING GOD'S PROMISES -- Ages 8-11 or Grades 3 - 5
Leader: Coleman Graham and company
Location: Blue Room, Children's Ministries Center

Our bigger children will immerse themselves in an Episcopal formation experience rooted in the stories of our faith as presented in Matthew's Gospel. In this first of a three-year cycle, our children encounter the story of our salvation from the fall to our redemption and how we fit into the story. Our theme in this curriculum year is "God loves us and stays with us-no matter what." Every session incorporates theology and history from our Episcopal-Anglican perspective. Questions??? Contact Coleman Graham or Fr. John.

GODLY PLAY -- 4s to 8, Kindergarten thru 2nd grade
Leaders: Kim Butler & Ivey Coleman
Location: Godly Play Room, Children's Ministry Center

We take children and their relationship with God seriously and seek to provide both space to foster encounters with God and the language necessary to make meaning of those experiences. Within the Godly Play classroom, the Biblical narrative is lovingly presented to children using beautiful materials with an invitation to step into each story with awe and wonder. Children are then allowed time to respond to and reflect on their experience of the story.
Questions??? Contact Kim Butler, Ivey Coleman, or Fr. John
