Celebrating the Class of 2020
Communities In Schools of the Dallas Region (CISDR) has helped thousands of students graduate high school since 1985, but the Class of 2020 has faced a unique set of challenges. Nowhere is that more true that at Thomas Jefferson High School in Dallas ISD, which faced both a tornado and a pandemic in a single school year. Thankfully, CISDR Site Coordinator Joseph Cruz worked tirelessly both on and off campus to help his caseload, more than 50% of which were seniors.

Congratulations to Our Women of AT&T Scholars
Once again, the Women of AT&T Dallas Chapter has partnered with CISDR to award college scholarships to graduating high school seniors. This year, 16 CISDR students from six Dallas area high schools each received $1,000 to assist with college tuition. While we weren't able to hold an awards banquet this year, we hope that this scholarship will help start these students off on the right foot. Thank you to all of the Women of AT&T members who volunteered their time and money make this possible, and congratulations to the Class of 2020!

CISDR Welcomes New Executive Team Members
CISDR is excited to welcome two experienced nonprofit professionals to its Executive Management Team, Cameron Hernholm, CFRE and Jeannette Papadopoulos.

“We're thrilled to have these talented and experienced leaders join our team,” says President & CEO Adam Powell. “Now, more than ever, our students and families need us. And I’m confident that Cameron and Jeannette’s collective experience and expertise will help advance our work and allow us to reach more students when they need us most.”
