South KC Alliance Awards Breakfast
There was a great crowd at Avila University for the South Kansas City Alliance's annual awards breakfast on August 23, 2018. The South KC Alliance gave awards to those individuals who've worked to make South KC a great place to live and work.

We look forward to next year's awards breakfast. You can find more information about the South KC Alliance, including a complete list of this year's awards recipients, at SouthKCAlliance.org.
Councilmen McManus and Taylor recently kicked off the groundbreaking for the reconstruction of Wornall Road from 85th to 89th Street. This GO Bond project is one of over $45M in public infrastructure investments coming to Waldo. They were joined by PIAC representative and former councilman, John Sharp, and Mark Montgomery with Public Works. Councilman McManus' sons were also hand for the event.
Special thanks to KCPD South Patrol for organizing and hosting a series of free movie nights for South Kansas City residents. Our 6th District Council offices were happy to sponsor and help promote these events.
