Habitat for Humanity in Monmouth County and Thrivent Financial partner for Building on Faith 2018
Freehold, NJ - Habitat for Humanity in Monmouth County and Thrivent Financial are coming together throughout Monmouth County for Building on Faith 2018, from mid-September through mid-October. Thrivent members and volunteers will work alongside homeowners in construction of wheelchair ramps and non-construction activities to help improve affordable housing needs.
 
Events will begin on  September  15 with a Kick-off Ceremony and finish on October 20 with a Celebration Ceremony.  Build days will be every Friday and Saturday throughout the duration of the event at various work sites, and two kid-friendly, hands-on DIY workshops will take place at the ReStore in Freehold.  For a complete  list of activities with details, visit  www.habitatmonmouth.org .

"This is an opportunity for our local residents, churches and faith communities to use their hearts and hands to serve their neighbors," said Diane Kinnane, Executive Director, Habitat for Humanity in Monmouth County. "The projects are designed so that anyone who wants to improve a place to call home can participate, and we are grateful to all of the volunteers who will be joining us over the course of the month."
 
The organization's events are part of a broader effort that includes 26 communities from the states of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky and Ohio.
