Oakville votes on Monday, October 22! Are you ready?

To vote in the Oakville municipal election you must be:
  • a Canadian citizen;
  • at least 18 years old on voting day;
  • a resident, or owner or tenant of land in Oakville, or the spouse of such owner or tenant; and
  • not prohibited from voting by law
Not sure if you're on the voter's list? Use our voter look up tool and if you don't see your name, easily add yourself to the list using our online form until October 19 at 3 p.m. or in person when you go to vote on October 22.

What ward am I in?  

Oakville's new seven-ward boundary system will be in place on December 1. To accommodate the new Ward 7, which captures neighbourhoods north of Dundas Street, adjustments have been made to all existing ward boundaries except Ward 3. Visit the Election website  to confirm the ward you live in using our interactive map . Your ward will also be listed on your voter card.
Where do I vote? 

You can vote anywhere within your ward on Monday, October 22 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. You can easily find voting locations within your ward by entering your address on the  Election website.  All locations are accessible and election officials have been trained to provide accessible customer service. Accessible voting equipment is available at Town Hall. 
What do I bring? 

When you go to vote, bring one acceptable piece of identification that has your name and qualifying address on it. Acceptable forms of ID include  a driver's licence, Ontario photo card, or current utility bill, bank or credit card statement or insurance policy.  Eligible voters are also encouraged to bring their voter card to avoid delays.
