Dear Bet Torah Family:

It was truly wonderful to spend such a warm and meaningful Rosh Hashanah with you.

This year in particular it was gratifying to see babies born to couples at whose weddings I had the honor of officiating! Our family keeps growing!

Here are the thoughts I offered over the two days:

Also, if you have not had a chance to join us for meditation I've included the remaining times below.

Looking forward to singing with you on Yom Kippur!

G'mar tov - May you be sealed for a year of health, meaning and love.

This Is Real and You are Completely Unprepared
Reflection and Meditation Space - Bet Torah Chapel

Thursday Sept. 13 after minyan - 7:45 PM-8:30 PM

Wednesday Sept. 19 - Yom Kippur Afternoon During the Break

During the Days of Awe, we open and contemplate. We open to the honest work of self-examination, review of the past year, and the impermanence of life. We study and meditate in search of a better understanding of our connection with the Divine, ourselves, and our impact on others. We come together in community to support each other during this High Holiday journey.

Study, Meditate and Reflect with Rabbi Aaron Brusso, Venerable Tenku Ruff, and Congregant George Wolff with inspiration from Rabbi Alan Lew's This is Real and You Are Completely Unprepared: The Days of Awe as a Journey of Transformation. These reflection opportunities will be presented in a brief, digestible format to help sustain you in your personal journey through the Days of Awe and will include an opening guided meditation, brief teaching, and closing meditation.
