Plainfield's EIDs were created by local property owners to specifically address the needs and interests of the tenant businesses calling Plainfield home.
With more than half of Plainfield's employees coming to work from outside of Hendricks County, the Plainfield EIDs have utilized collected revenue to maintain and enhance existing commuting services for these workers.
Additionally, the EIDs support the attraction, retention and training of employees through partnerships established throughout the town, county and region.
EID 2020 - Efforts are now underway to merge the two existing districts into a single entity and set the term to ten (10) years. While the EID's mission will remain the same, unifying into one EID will allow for efficiencies in service contract negotiations and management strategies. The expanded term will eliminate the expense of re-establishing the EID very three (3) years.
As current boundaries of the combined district are being considered, property owners will be contacted to reaffirm their commitment to our local businesses and Plainfield's continued success.
