Elijah Cup Prayers for Vocations
Our parish has a beautiful ministry dedicated in prayerful support of vocations - The Elijah Cup Ministry.
The Elijah Cup is a consecrated chalice taken home for one week, rotated at each Mass.  There is also the monthly chalice given at every First Friday Devotion Mass.  Each carrying case comes with a chalice, instructions, a selection of prayers, Rosary, book, and spiritual journal to share the experiences felt while praying for those called to religious life.
A receiving family or individual displays the chalice in a prominent place at home and prays for an increase of men and women called to religious vocations:  priests, deacons, seminarians, sisters or nuns.  Knowing that you are praying for them will lift their called hearts ready to serve or to continue as our spiritual leaders bringing us closer to God.
We always need families and individuals to pray for vocations.   What a blessing ...so let this chalice journey to your home and t hank you for the prayerful consideration!
Please look for the sign-up sheet in the narthex.  For more information, please contact:

Here is our latest update. 112 people have been trained. We still have at least one classroom at each school that has not been adopted so your help in recruiting and getting the word out would be appreciated. Remember our first and most important step is to pray. Thank you for your heart of caring for kids.
