Cincinnati’s beautiful parks are not only places of leisure, but are also rich in history. Did you know that the
57-acre
Mt. Storm Park
is the site of the 19th-century estate of Robert Bowler, where he entertained the Prince of Wales and Charles Dickens?
The Temple of Love gazebo-pavilion is all that remains of this once grand homestead.
The Corinthian mini-temple in
Mt. Storm Park
was designed in 1850 as an elaborate cover to the underground reservoir which supplied Bowler's house, gardens, greenhouses and lakes.
For those who visit the park now, Mt. Storm offers a shelter, playground and overlook with views of the Clifton Skyline and the Millcreek Valley. In the Winter, it is also known for some magnificent sledding!

A big thanks to Dulany Anning & Amy DeWitt for hosting the first ever
Women's Committee
Picnic in the Park. On September 20th, Women's Committee members gathered at the
John G. & Phyllis W. Smale Riverfront Park
for a fun and casual French-themed picnic in the park.
Guests enjoyed their picnics while mingling and catching up with one another on one of the last days of Summer.
The Women’s Committee
of Smale Riverfront Park is committed to endowing, maintaining and preserving riverfront greenspace, while educating the public as to how they can help protect this wonderful urban treasure.
