Friends of Parks eNews
Greetings!

We are thankful for the beauty and stunning colors of autumn painted wildly throughout the Queen City. We are grateful for the many talented and generous individuals who work within Cincinnati Parks, those with passion so immense and sincere it’s inspirational.

Special Thanks
A big shout-out to the Duke Energy Foundation for our recent grant award of $10,000 for the 2019 Fall ReLeaf Program .

Thanks to Duke's commitment to our environment, 500 trees will be planted throughout Cincinnati next year!

We have such a strong community of people who love and support YOUR Cincinnati Parks. And we couldn't be more grateful.
Did you Know?
Cincinnati’s beautiful parks are not only places of leisure, but are also rich in history. Did you know that the 57-acre Mt. Storm Park is the site of the 19th-century estate of Robert Bowler, where he entertained the Prince of Wales and Charles Dickens?

The Temple of Love gazebo-pavilion is all that remains of this once grand homestead. The Corinthian mini-temple in Mt. Storm Park was designed in 1850 as an elaborate cover to the underground reservoir which supplied Bowler's house, gardens, greenhouses and lakes.

For those who visit the park now, Mt. Storm offers a shelter, playground and overlook with views of the Clifton Skyline and the Millcreek Valley. In the Winter, it is also known for some magnificent sledding!
Pique-nique dans le Parc
A big thanks to Dulany Anning & Amy DeWitt for hosting the first ever Women's Committee Picnic in the Park. On September 20th, Women's Committee members gathered at the John G. & Phyllis W. Smale Riverfront Park   for a fun and casual French-themed picnic in the park.

Guests enjoyed their picnics while mingling and catching up with one another on one of the last days of Summer. The Women’s Committee of Smale Riverfront Park is committed to endowing, maintaining and preserving riverfront greenspace, while educating the public as to how they can help protect this wonderful urban treasure.
For a limited time, you can become a member of The Women's Committee. Please click here to learn more about this thriving group of women. A one time gift, for a lifetime of benefits for you and Cincinnati Parks.

Thank you again to Dulany Anning and Amy DeWitt for hosting this lovely event. It was a beautiful day, shared with amazing women.
Views & Brews - So much fun!
Thank you to everyone who attended our super fun Views & Brews Bus Tour last Friday, September 28th. We could not have asked for a more perfect evening with absolutely stunning weather.

A big shout out to the Cincinnati Parks Foundation Emerging Leaders for making this event happen, and a very special thanks to Sarah DeDiemar and Maddie Caldemeyer who chaired this event.
We had 3 bus loads of young professionals who shared food, brews and laughter along the tour which included stops at  Smale Riverfront Park Alms Park French Park , and  Mt. Storm .

We saw gorgeous views at each of the parks and were so grateful to meet many new friends at this event.

Thank you so much to our sponsors. It was a very special evening, with a wonderful group of people.
