Limited Staffing

The majority of the NSR staff will be out of the office July 6-11 for the 2020 NSR Summer Type Conference and NJSA National Junior Show. Additionally, the NSR office will be closed on Friday, July 3 for Independence Day. If you need pedigrees for the show, you MUST contact the NSR office by Thursday, July 2. Please plan accordingly for all NSR and NJSA work, especially pedigree work.

2020 Ralph E. Doak Memorial Scholarship

The Buckeye Barrow Boosters will award one $500 scholarship to an Ohio young person that has been active in the showpig industry. The application deadline is Friday, July 31. For more information, contact Kevin Kremer at 419-366-4611 or click HERE.

The Midwestern will be held August 20-23, 2020 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Midwestern is the result of the NSR, other national breed associations and the Indiana Purebred Swine Breeders working diligently to provide an Open Show and Sale that will include all purebred breeds and crossbred swine. More details and the entry process will be available on nationalswine.com following the 2020 NSR Summer Type Conference and NJSA National Junior Show.

2020 NSR Summer Type Conference and NJSA National Junior Show

The 2020 NSR Summer Type Conference and NJSA National Junior Show will be held July 6-11, 2020 in Des Moines, Iowa. For health rules and regulations, click HERE . All STC and NJS litters that are recorded after June 24 will be charged a RUSH fee. All NJSA scholarship recipients will be announced Wednesday, July 15 at 2 p.m. Eastern Time via Facebook Live on the NJSA Facebook page. For all NJS show information, click HERE . Beat the check in line on Monday, July 6 by completing the NJS Virtual Check In today! Virtual check in opens Monday, June 29 and closes Tuesday, June 30. NJSA National Junior Show Contest Information

All information regarding NJSA National Junior Show Contests can be found HERE . The NJSA Virtual Skillathon Contest will open on Monday, June 29 and close Tuesday, June 30 at midnight Eastern Time. There will be a separate contests and separate links for the Novice, Junior, Intermediate and Senior Divisions. Links will be available on Monday, June 29 HERE . The NJSA and Team Purebred National Junior Show Virtual Livestock Judging Contest will open Monday, June 29 and close Friday, July 3. The contest will be held on Judge 2 Win . In order to be eligible for NJSA Sweepstakes Awards, exhibitors MUST compete in both the NJSA Virtual Skillathon Contest and NJSA and Team Purebred Virtual Livestock Judging Contest.
