Dear SJPS Families,

The weather has caught us a bit by surprise! It is so early to see such snow and wind! Please be sure to have your children bring boots, snowpants, hats and mittens for outside play. We go outside unless the temperature (actual or "feels like" is 5 degrees or colder).
Also, we are continuing to have too many tardy students each day. Please help us to have your children ready for school to begin at 7:30 a.m. You can drop off at school anytime from 7:10 to 7:25 a.m. this would be ideal and give the children time to make it to their class and get ready to start their day of learning!
Thank you for your help with both of these concerns!

Our St. Andrew Chaplets have arrived and went home to families who ordered them. I am asking our parishioners to join us in praying this Christmas Novena that begins on the feast of Saint Andrew on November 30th. It is a beautiful family activity that can be added to your traditions each year.

We have received many inquiries from families interested in sending their children to our next Fall. They have mentioned they want to sign up right away. If you have children at home who do not attend St. Jerome Parish School, please begin your application today to sign them up for 3K- grade 8! Here is the link to the application for 1920/21 school year.

I'm excited to announce that our school is a Theology of the Body (TOB) Campus! What is TOB?
Theology of the Body is an awakening to what it means to be human. Where each person's dignity--made in God's image--is cherished and celebrated. During the last school year, our teachers previewed different publishers and decided on Ruah Woods Press to help our school become a TOB campus.
Here is what Ruah Woods has to say about being a TOB Campus, "...(SJPS) will be a community of persons where everybody is seen as a gift. It's a way of living, in gratitude for God's love for us, that recognizes our mission to serve the needs of our brothers and sisters. It's a treasure for our time. The fruits of the Holy Spirit will be witnessed in the school hallways and beyond!"
I will be sharing more as we move forward in this year but want you to know that Fr. Tom will be helping us (teachers and staff) learn all about Theology of the Body. What a beautiful blessings for us! If you would like to learn more, please go to Theology of the Body- more information

God's peace and blessings,
Mary Johnson
