This Sunday at Christ Church

Epiphany Celebration, this Sunday, January 6
At Christ Church, we conclude holiday festivities with our annual Epiphany Celebration, this Sunday, January 6.
We will have special music and a visit from the Three Kings, who each process up the aisle bringing their gift and then sing a solo from the pulpit. The Three Kings this year are Mason Werner, Emmanuel Ruiz and Grace Rempel who wear royal costumes and gem studded crowns. A beloved Christ Church tradition, this is not to be missed!
We invite all interested children to accompany the Three Kings up the aisle as their entourage.
The children will dress in costumes and carry gifts, which will be food items for the Food Pantry, wrapped in silver and gold. This is the perfect opportunity for any children who were not able to participate in the Christmas Pageant, or for those who did participate and are ready for another dramatic occasion!
Will your child be joining us? We hope so! Please let Melissa Durbin or Megan Miller know. Any teens wishing to help with costuming and wrapping gifts please contact them.
After the service the celebration continues with King's Cakes and other goodies.
Children finding a jelly bean in their piece of cake get to wear (and keep) a golden, jewel-encrusted crown. Children may also join in on special Epiphany arts and crafts during the reception. The Three Kings will be circulating as well. New this year: Get your picture taken at our Epiphany Photo Booth!
Please join us for Epiphany, the last day of Christmas!

New Trier Township Food Pantry
This Sunday, January 6, we will once again be collecting food for the New Trier Township Food Pantry. As part of the celebration of Epiphany, children are invited to walk down the aisle, accompanying the Three Kings and bearing their own gifts of food for those in our community who are hungry.
In addition to gifts of spices and seasonings like those the Three Kings brought the baby Jesus, we will also collect the following in the Prevost Cloister following both services:
* Cooking Oil
* Salad Dressing
* Condiments
* Spices & Seasonings
If you forget to bring items, you can make a donation in the Pantry Jar to offset the cost of goods that we purchase for the pantry each month.
Thank you for your support of this critical need in our community!

Christ Church Creative Dance
Our winter session is starting Monday, January 14!
Come join us for a fun, non-competitive dance class right here at Christ Church. This session, we will be learning folk dances from different countries! Some folk dances require lines and formations, so it will be more fun if we have a good number of participants. Interested dancers, please ask a friend to come too! Class will be held on Mondays, 4:45-5:45, January 14-March 18, in the Guild Room at 470 Maple Street.

Youth Counting "Gifts for Life" Coins this Sunday, January 6
Anyone who can count and roll coins is invited to help us with all the donations the youth gathered during Advent for "Gifts for Life", an Episcopal Relief and Development program that provides communities with gifts that promote self-sufficiency. Find us at a table at the reception following the Epiphany service this Sunday, January 6. We will also vote on which "Gifts for Life"
we will give, and, if it is alive, what to name it!
