COMMUNITY EVENTS
Reunion of Members of the Former Chapter of Princeton Hadassah
Sunday, October 14

We invite our former members to join us on  Sunday, October 14th at 5:15 p.m. at  Princeton Windrows  to share memories of our years in Princeton Hadassah - those skits, donors, working with Young Judea teens, the lox box, and more.  To help us recall (memories are a challenge...) we have unearthed memorabilia which will entertain and delight you.  Over light refreshments, share your stories, reminiscences, who we were then and where we are today.
Rabbi James S. Diamond Memorial Lecture Series

Fifth Annual Lecture
Thursday, October 18, 2018, 5:00 pm
Princeton University, McCormick 101 (Art Museum)

Featured Speaker
Rabbi Jeffrey Saks
Director of Research, Agnon House in Jerusalem
Series Editor of the S.Y.Agnon Library at the Toby Press

Topic
From "A City of the Dead" to A City in Its Fullness:
Between Tragedy and Nostalgia in the Long Agnonian Arc

Throughout most of his career, Jim read, studied, taught, and wrote extensively about S.Y. Agnon. During the last couple of years of his life, together with Professor Alan Mintz z"l of the Jewish Theological Seminary and Rabbi Jeffrey Saks, he began working on a major Agnon project. They translated, annotated and edited Agnon's epic story cycle of tales from Buczacz, his home town in Galicia (now Ukraine).

As a result of his tragic death, Jim was not able to complete the translations of the stories he had been working on. Alan Mintz z"l and Jeffrey Saks, along with several others, completed the work.
A City in Its Fullness was published in 2016 by the Toby Press.
