"BE YOURSELF. TRY YOUR BEST. NEVER BE AFRAID TO DREAM."
-SHARON CHRISTA MCAULIFFE
Dear McAuliffe Parents and Families,

Today at McAuliffe we recognized Patriot Day as a National Day of Service and Remembrance. Today we focused on how to encourage our students to recognize the sacrifice of others, and to embody service in their own lives.

Our teachers facilitated activities today that promoted deep student thinking. Some classes read different articles and used our Depth and Complexity icons to ask questions and reflect on the events from 17 years ago. Other classes focused on acts of service and contributing positively to our community. No matter the approach, our students were actively engaged in learning about our history and its lasting impact.

Keep dreaming big, Eagles!

Dr. Ryan Weiss-Wright
