Metro Detroit schools weigh deterrents to vaping

Vaping - a form of electronic cigarettes - is booming in popularity inside Metro Detroit middle and high schools, prompting education leaders to turn to police and health officials for help.

National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day
The DEA's  National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day will occur on April 28, 2018 - 10am to 2pm.

This annual event aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications. For a participating law enforcement site in Oakland County, click here:

Join us for our 4th Annual Alliance of Coalitions for Healthy Communities/Oakland County Families Against Narcotics Shatter the Stigma run/walk event. All proceeds benefit our continuing efforts to educate communities throughout Oakland County on the opioid epidemic and how we can shatter the stigma of addiction.

Oakland County FAN April Meetings 

Families Against Narcotics (FAN) is a community based program for those seeking recovery, those in recovery, family members affected by addiction and community supporters. Oakland County FAN seeks to change the face of addiction, dispel the stigma of addiction, and educate the community as well as those affected by addiction.

Shattering the stigma of addiction, all are welcome to these free community meetings in Oakland County.
