Gina Rowe, PhD, DNP, MPH, FNP-BC, PHCNS-BC, CNE , will present  "Addressing Place-based Health and Healthcare Inequities"  at  12 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 10, in MDN 2002 , as part of the USF College of Nursing's Faculty Applicant Presentation Series. Dr. Rowe is applying for the role of associate dean for the Graduate Program.
 
Dr. Rowe is an assistant professor at the University of Maryland School of Nursing and a certified nurse educator with 15 years of experience in undergraduate, master's, DNP and PhD programs at three universities.

From 2016 to 2018, Dr. Rowe served as program coordinator for the newly expanded Family Nurse Practitioner/Doctor of Nursing Practice Program at the University of Maryland's Rockville satellite campus.

She earned a BSN and MSN/MPH in community nursing and public health at Johns Hopkins University, and a post-Master's FNP, DNP and PhD from the University of Maryland.

As an FNP, she has practiced in school-based wellness centers, community clinics, a mobile clinic and retail care.

Her research interests include place-based health inequities and interdisciplinary collaboration.
