CancerCare Social Worker Discusses Caregiving in Oncology Nurse Advisor

Caregivers provide important emotional, practical and physical care for a person with cancer. In a recent Oncology Nurse Advisor article, Caroline Edlund, Online Support Group Program Director at Cancer Care shares the unique role that caregivers have in the cancer journey, especially once their loved ones are post-treatment.

Derrian came to Cancer Care after being diagnosed with stage 3 stomach cancer and was looking for financial and emotional support. She found this through Cancer Care's financial assistance program and our Young Adults With Cancer online support group.

CancerCare Client Gives Back and Honors Beloved Husband 

On Sunday, July 8, Cancer Care client Joan Remnick hosted an art show in honor of her late husband, Burt Remnick, who passed away this past January of colorectal cancer. The art show was comprised of thirty of Burt's nature and still-life photographs. Out of the thirty photographs on display for the art show, eight of them were sold and raised over $1,200 for Cancer Care.
