1U - 4U High SlimBox OpenVPX Enclosures
                       

 

Pixus has expanded it's horizontal-mount OpenVPX chassis platform line for 3U, 6U, or 3U/6U hybrid versions.
 
The first in the 1U high SlimBox OpenVPX series is a 3-slot version for 3U boards.   A modular fixed power supply provides up to 600W of power and one Rear Transition Module (RTM) is supported. A hybrid configuration option is available with 1x 6U slot and 1x 3U slot.   In lieu of the fixed-mount power supply option, one of the 3U slots can be replaced with a pluggable 3U PSU slot per VITA 62. This configuration allows full RTMs to be utilized.
 
Various backplane speed options are supported by the Pixus 1U SlimBox.   The initial design supports up to 40GbE speeds as well as PCIe Gen3. Optional card guides for conduction-cooled modules are also available.

Dual Depth Open Frame Chassis Supports 160mm and 220mm OpenVPX boards, SpaceVPX
  
    
 
The dual depth open frame chassis provides four slots to support 160mm boards and four slots to support 220mm boards. The modular enclosure allows various board pitches to be utilized at 0.2" increments. Card guides to support both air-cooled boards and conduction-cooled boards are standard. There are also 220mm deep card guides that are wider to support extra thick SpaceVPX conduction-cooled boards per VITA 78.  
 
Pixus offers a wide range of 3U or 6U OpenVPX backplanes, including versions that utilize the ultra rugged KVPX connector per VITA 63. The chassis includes an optional modular 600W or 1200W power supply for up to six VPX voltages. Power interface boards per VITA 62 are also an option.

Air Slot Blocker Boards for OpenVPX
 
 
 
The Pixus OpenVPX Air Slot Blocker Boards are plug-in boards for blocking the airflow in an otherwise empty OpenVPX slot.   They come in 3U and 6U sizes in the 5HP (1.0") width commonly used in the backplane architecture.  
 
The air slot blocker boards help optimize airflow by forcing the available airflow to pass through utilized slots. They fill spare slots that many applications utilize for future expansion.   The air slot blockers boards come in versions with and without injector/ejector handles that feature the renowned Pixus rugged metal engagement "claw". The blockers are also a convenient tool for prototyping/testing.
