Welcome to the 2018-19 academic year. The campus is alive with undergraduate students, graduate students and returning staff and faculty. It is an exciting time for you, for us, and for the University with a reinvigorated focus on research promotion, faculty renewal, and deliberative actions toward equity, diversity, and inclusivity. As we embark on new initiatives, both in the classroom and with our research, I want to take this time to thank you for and to celebrate all of the wonderful accomplishments we achieved together last year.
