Medicare Part D-Prescription Drug Plans

We are often asked questions about Medicare Part D.  The following article provides many answers from a reliable source:

Tis the Season

The flu season is here. We would like to remind everyone to please delay your visit to McLean if you are not feeling well, for the safety of our residents. You can spread the virus to people around you even before you know you have the flu.

Your best protection against the flu is to get vaccinated, in addition to practicing good hand hygiene.

If anyone on our campus does come down with the flu, visitors who are not vaccinated will be asked to wear a mask.

Recognize the early signs:
  • Sudden onset of fever (although some patients with a positive flu swabs occasionally do not have a fever)
  • Cough
  • Sore Throat
  • Runny Nose
  • Muscle Aches
  • Headaches
  • Fatigue
Thank you for your cooperation!
Winter Safety

Prevent slips and falls this winter. Learn to recognize the dangers, be alert to your surroundings and eliminate hazzards.

Here are some helpful tips:
  •  Take shorts steps on icy, snowy or  wet surfaces/Look for black ice
  •  Don't carry items that block your vision; keep your hands and arms free for balance and protection
  •  Walk slowly; plan your route in advance whether walking or driving
  •  Travel on roadways and sidewalks that have been cleared; don't take shortcuts
  •  Wear insulated boots with good treads or slip-resistant shoes
  •  Be cautious not to drag water into the building

The Holidays at McLean

Our Life Enrichment staff, Dining, the Auxiliary, families, volunteers and members of the community all helped to fill December with a huge variety of festive activities to fill the month.

Theme meals, the Wadsworth Museum's Festival of Trees,  concerts, crafts and outings were planned throughout the campus, with something for everyone!

A huge thank you to each and every one for helping to make our holidays so special!
