UAS LEADERS WILL GATHER AGAIN THIS OCTOBER
On the 11th of October Leaders of UAS will gather at the 4th UAS Leadership Forum organised by EURASHE.

This time they will have an exclusive opportunity to get first insights on the ongoing OECD survey 'Benchmarking higher education system' and discuss possible partnerships within the European university networks.

The purpose of the Forum is to mobilise a community support within the professional higher education and to bring together presidents, rectors, vice-rectors, general directors of European universities of applied sciences and policy makers providing a good opportunity for informal discussions, influence on policies and networking.

We invite you to  let us know (dovile.sandaraite@eurashe.eu) if leader/s of your UAS would be willing to participate at this invitation-only event.

Have a look at the moments of the last UAS Leadership Forum below.

NEW EURASHE PROJECT ON HEALTH LITERACY EDUCATION HAS BEEN LAUNCHED
Do you know that 47% of Europeans have a low health literacy?

Our new project  IMPACCT (IMproving PAtient-centered Communication Competences) aims to create health literacy experts by improving the relevance and quality of education of medical and nursing  students
in Europe  through the development, implementation, evaluation and dissemination of an evidence-based Health Literacy Educational Program.

The educational program will consist of a set of about 20 learning units. Taken together, these units reflect the fact that a comprehensive approach is needed to tackle health literacy problems. To enhance the health and well-being of people with low health literacy, students need a wide range of health literacy competences related to clinical competences (e.g. diagnosing among people with low health literacy), but also competences for communication, collaboration, leadership or quality assurance, to prevent health literacy related problems.

Do you want to become a health literacy expert? Do you want to improve the education quality of medical, nursing or other students?  Are you are interested in using our educational material, or would simply like to know more about the project? Please visit http://healthliteracycentre.eu/impacct/ and get in touch with us!
