It's time for the Farm Tour!
On Saturday, September 22nd we will travel the Ohio countryside visiting a handful of farms that supply food for your shares. This is an ALL DAY EVENT (meet at 7:00-7:30am, back by 5:30-6:00pm) so come ready-- wear some sturdy boots, bring some gloves and layers in case it gets chilly because we will be outdoors in the fresh air all day.
We'll visit a variety of operations and get to chat with the people who manage them-- butchers, bee-keepers, dairy farmers, apple growers-- and have an activity or presentation at each stop (i.e. milking cows, picking apples, collecting eggs.) This is a totally unique opportunity to not only see and participate in the day-to-day operation of small, family-managed farms, but also meet the people who grow and make your food.
