Important information for the start of the year
August 14th, 2020
Dear DACC Students and Families,

We are excited to see all of our students soon, but we understand that there is a lot to do before now and the start of school. Below, please find valuable information about how you can be prepared to hit the ground running.

For a full list of tasks we are asking our families to complete, please reference Principal Gaskill's Welcome Back Message from August 3rd.
Technology
Many of our labs are participating in the One-to-One Program. What this means is that a Chromebook or similar technology is required by the instructor. If you are unsure of your lab requirements or lab fees, please visit our website for the most up to date information.

Each program page lists the lab fees for both Level 1 and Level 2 students and will designate whether your lab is participating in the One-to-One Program. The Chromebook fee will be an additional $225 only for the time that you purchase it. If you purchased a Chromebook last year and plan to use it again this year, that fee will not apply.

Bringing Your Own Device?
Here’s what you need to know:

Our technology team is available to meet with you prior to the start of school to verify that your device will work with our environment. This is not a required meeting, but an option for families who are able and want to have their devices set up prior to the start of school.
To have the cost of the Chromebook removed from your fees, please contact Renita Russell at RussellR@DelawareAreaCC.org or 740-203-2201.

Purchasing a DACC Chromebook?
Here’s what you need to know:

Our technology team is available to meet with you to provide you with your Chromebook and configure it for school use. Before scheduling this meeting, please make sure your fees are paid or you have a payment plan established.

If you are unable to meet with our technology team before the start of school, we will work to ensure BYOD devices are functional and configured by coming directly to your student’s classroom. If you plan to purchase a device from DACC, please ensure your fees are paid or you have a valid payment plan and we will deliver a device to your student directly in their classroom and work with them to configure it.

Lunches
Breakfast and lunch must be ordered using our DACC Breakfast or DACC Lunch order forms.

You may place orders for the days you are on campus as well as the days you are off campus (these will be referred to as “Take Home” meals and “To Go” meals).

Orders for breakfast must be received by 7:30 a.m. on that day.

Orders for lunch must be received by 8:15 a.m. on that day.

To minimize the contact with others, all meals will be delivered to the lab classrooms based on the orders received for that day (students will not have meals in the commons area this year). We also will not be accepting cash payments and require that students order meals using their 6-digit code from their PaySchools account.

Click here to download a step sheet to add money to an account. If you already have a Payschools account from your home school you will need to create a new account for DACC using a different email address than the home school account.

Use these forms to place an order for breakfast or lunch and bookmark them for future use:
