Students, faculty and staff are urged to participate in an anonymous survey designed to determine diversity-related attitudes and perceptions. Strong participation is needed to maximize the accuracy of the survey. Access the survey here.


This award will fund biomedical PhD students and/or postdoctoral researchers to develop or expand a project dedicated to service in the STEM fields. Scientific community outreach activities may include interactions with educators, community leaders, non-profit organizations or foundations.  Abstracts and submissions are due Thursday, Oct. 25.

Pilot Grant Funding
Oct. 15 Application Deadline

BUSM faculty are encouraged to submit applications for 2018-19 pilot grants (up to $50,000 may be requested) from the BU Clinical and Translational Science Institute (BU CTSI) and partner organizations.

Available for BUSM faculty whose grants go through BUSM for p rostate cancer research (Shipley Center);  breast cancer research (Dahod Center);  collaborations with Chinese university faculty (Wing Tat Lee) and n euroscience research (Spivack Center).


Share input on a NEW CORE now being developed for investigators who are interested in doing research with Special Populations, including pediatric and geriatric populations, low-income patients, patients with sickle cell disease and patients with substance use disorder. Complete a brief survey to share your ideas about what you need and what this core should provide (the survey should take less than 5 minutes). The survey closes on Friday, Oct. 19. This Core is sponsored by the NIH-funded BU Clinical and Translational Science Institute.
