Dear AME Members,
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has completed its investigation of a fatal aircraft collision into terrain that occurred on August 6, 2019, near Mayo, Yukon. A summary and full report have been released, and we encourage AME members who travel into remote areas to review these.
We are also saddened to learn that there has been an aviation incident resulting in a single fatality during a mineral exploration program in northwest BC on August 17, 2020. This collision is in the early stages of investigation, and AME offers its condolences to the families, friends and colleagues of the deceased.
