This week I had the pleasure of visiting with Chairman David Covey, Chair of the Orange County GOP and President of the Texas Republican County Chairmen's Association (TRCCA) as well as San Jacinto County Chairman Dwayne Wright, who also serves as Executive Director of TRCCA. We discussed the need for everyone to be an engaged volunteer this year and how your County Party and the TRCCA are excellent resources.
Your local County Party should be your first stop to ensuring your local government is in good hands and the TRCCA can put you in touch with the right people. County Party's are on the front line of ensuring free and fair elections by recruiting and equipping election judges, clerks and poll watchers. If you haven't already you should get to know your local County Chair and be a part of your County Party.
The TRCCA is working to make County Party's more effective and they are an important part of the statewide leadership helping to Keep Texas Red! Let the TRCCA help you get "plugged in" to your local party today!

Trump is registering more new voters than Democrats in key states
Trump is registering more new voters than Democrats in key states
Stef W. Kight
August 4, 2020
"The Trump campaign and RNC have now registered 100,000 new voters in the 2020 cycle, more than doubling their numbers from 2016 and shrinking Democrats' registration advantage in key swing states, according to new Trump Victory data provided exclusively to Axios.
...
"But Republicans have narrowed the voter registration gap in key swing states, according to Axios' reviews of those states records.
- Republicans have lessened the margin by 133,000 registered voters in Pennsylvania and 87,000 voters in Florida.
- Republicans have also chipped away at Democrats' advantage in the tossup state of North Carolina — gaining a net 216,410 voters since Election Day 2016.
- Meanwhile in Arizona and Iowa, Trump Victory has managed to slow voter registration momentum behind Democrats.
- In Iowa, the number of registered Democratic voters surpassed Republicans in March, but Republicans recently took back the advantage. Democrats had been outpacing Republicans in Arizona as well — but since April, Republicans have overtaken them.
"The big picture: Coronavirus has drastically changed the voter registration game...
"45% of voter registration applications come from the DMV, but even those have been shut down or offer limited services because of the virus in many states.
...
"What they're saying: 'As enthusiasm for President Trump continues to grow, so does the Republican Party. Over 100,000 new voters are ready to cast their ballot for four more years of President Trump’s 'Promises Made, Promises Kept' agenda, and elect Republicans up and down the ballot on November 3rd,' RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said in a statement..."

Our Great American Comeback Is Underway
The July jobs report smashed economists’ expectations and it’s clear that President Trump is the man to lead our Great American Comeback. Thanks to the President’s pro-growth agenda and leadership, our economy is coming back after it was artificially halted by the global pandemic.
What You Need To Know:
- President Trump built the greatest economy in the history of the world and is doing so again.
- The July jobs report showed America added 1.8 million jobs, once again smashing economists’ expectations.
- Following May and June, this figure is the third highest one-month job gain in U.S. history.
- Over the past 3 months, a whopping 9.3 million jobs have been added back to our economy. 42% of the jobs lost due to coronavirus pandemic have been added back.
- In July, 1.1 million of the added jobs went to women.
- Key sectors impacted during the coronavirus pandemic are bouncing back:
- The manufacturing industry added 26,000 manufacturing jobs.
- The retail industry added 258,000 jobs.
- Leisure and hospitality industry added 592,000 jobs.
- Wages grew 4.8% year over year.
- The unemployment rate dropped nearly a full point to 10.2%. This is the fourth largest one-month drop in U.S. history.

A Bad Week For Joe Biden
This has arguably been the worst week of the general election for Joe Biden. While President Trump is leading our Great American Comeback, Joe Biden is continuing to hide in his basement and is acting as an empty vessel for the radical-left.
What You Need To Know:
- Joe Biden had a very bad week.
-
Biden and the DNC were massively outraised ($25 million) by the RNC and Trump campaign.
-
The DNC/Biden field operation continues to drastically lag behind the RNC/Trump campaign.
- Biden canceled his convention in Wisconsin.
-
He made several racist comments and was forced to apologize.
- While President Trump safely travels the country to talk directly with Americans, Biden is continuing to hide in his basement and the media is turning a blind eye.
- Biden is a weak placeholder candidate so his looming VP pick – expected next week - will be deemed his “living will.”

Protect The Vote
Democrats have seized on the coronavirus pandemic to push their long-sought partisan election agenda including universal mail-in voting. This week, Nevada Democrats tried to change the rules of the game at the last minute in an attempt to push the election in their favor. The RNC, Trump campaign, and Republican Party of Nevada filed a lawsuit to fight back against Nevada Democrats’ radical assault on our elections.
What you need to know:
- With less than 100 days until Election Day, Nevada Governor Sisolak and the Democrat-led legislature used the cover of the COVID-19 pandemic to introduce and pass Assembly Bill 4 (AB4) in less than 72 hours, and with little public notice.
- This unconstitutional legislation would implement a universal vote-by-mail system that is ripe for fraud. AB4 puts our democratic process and voter integrity at risk.
- After this political stunt, the RNC, Trump campaign, and Nevada Republican Party filed a lawsuit to stop Democrats from implementing Assembly Bill 4 (AB4).
-
The entities are suing the State of Nevada over several provisions of AB4 that violate the United States Constitution.
- AB4 Background:
- AB4 requires election officials to accept and count ballots received after Election Day, and creates a loophole that allows votes to be cast after Election Day.
- The law will guarantee most rural counties only one in-person polling place for early voting and Election Day, while urban Democrat-leaning counties may receive 35 or more early voting locations and over 100 Election Day polling places. These provisions clearly treat rural voters differently than urban voters simply based on where they live.
- The law also fails to provide uniform safeguards for processing and counting ballots and allows the county or city clerks to establish these procedures. This will inevitably lead to voters being treated differently depending on where they live.
- The law even allows county or city clerks to count ballots that are marked by voters who failed to comply with the signature-verification process, including situations where two ballots are folded together and sent in a single envelope--a loophole that invites fraud and ballot manipulation.

President Trump And Republicans Have The Enthusiasm
With less than 90 days until Election Day, the enthusiasm remains on the side of President Trump and Republicans. The RNC and Trump campaign have the staff in the field, the resources, and the volunteer enthusiasm needed to help re-elect President Trump and Republicans up and down the ballot on November 3rd.
What You Need To Know:
- This week, the RNC, Donald J. Trump for President campaign, and authorized joint entities announced a record $165 million raised in July. July was the largest online fundraising month ever for the re-election effort and the massive haul eclipses the total raised in any single month of 2016.
- Bottom line – this massive operation cannot be replicated by the Biden campaign/DNC with less than 90 days. The RNC, Trump campaign, and supporters are in overdrive working to re-elect President Trump and Republicans up and down the ballot.

Joe Biden Must Debate
As President Trump continues to safely travel the country, participate in media interviews, and connect with voters via tele-rallies, Joe Biden is hiding from voters and the media in his basement. If Joe Biden cannot answer the tough questions now, how can he possibly represent us on the world stage and lead our country? Voters deserve to see President Trump and Joe Biden debate before they head to the polls.
What you need to know
- Americans deserve to have all the facts on the table prior to voting.
- You wouldn’t buy a car without test driving it, voters shouldn’t be choosing their president without hearing the candidates debate on the important issues.
- President Trump and Job Biden already agreed to three debates, with the first debate on September 29.
- The Trump campaign has called for a fourth debate earlier in September. If a fourth debate is not added, there should be a revised schedule and the last scheduled debate should be moved to the first week in September.
- By the time the first debate happens, 16 states – 8 million Americans - will have already begun voting.
- In 2016, 41% of all votes were cast before Election Day.
- The candidates should appear on the same stage in person, even if there cannot be an audience due to safety precautions.
- The Commission on Presidential Debates uses an antiquated calendar that does not reflect voting realities of 2020.
- Joe Biden needs to prove he is capable of being the leader of the free world and a substantive debate between the two candidates will show voters the stark contrast that exists between
