Walker Pen Pals

Last week, fifth graders welcomed their ESL pen pals from Walker School. Most of them are refugees and are learning English. The differing languages didn't get in the way as students enjoyed time getting to know one another, playing games, and making new friendships.
Too Much Media, Not Enough Social

Freddy Jackson from the Love: No Ego Foundation spoke to Middle School today. His presentation was titled: Too Much Media, Not Enough Social.

His goals were to encourage and inspire students on how to use social media as a tool and not a lifestyle, 2) to help bring awareness to the ego and how it may be forcing their decisions and running their lives, particularly as it relates to social media engagement, 3) to show how Love is the greatest and most rewarding energy and best space to live from. Freddy will be rejoining our students throughout the year to follow up on his positive message!
