Fourth of July Activities
JK All Day
11:30 a.m., Saturday
Lakeside welcomes Port Clinton natives, JK All Day to the Pavilion. The duo will take the audience through decades of soft pop and classic rock.
Carpenter Ants
1:45 p.m., Saturday
Our afternoon music continues at the Pavilion with the Carpenter Ants . The group has crafted a unique and timeless blend of Appalachian soul.
Rick Kelley
3:45 p.m., Saturday
Rick Kelley masterfully blends comedy and music, presenting a powerful performance at the Steele Memorial Bandstand
Hey Mavis
7 p.m., Saturday, Steele Memorial Bandstand
Hey Mavis has been weaving a musical tapestry and igniting a following of dedicated fans. With heartfelt vocals, honest songwriting, blazing instrumental solos, and an undeniable onstage musical chemistry, this quartet is the definition of great Americana music.
Water Aerobics
8-8:45 a.m, Grindley Aquatic & Wellness Campus Pool

Tai Chi
10 a.m., Memorial Garden
Often described as meditation in motion, Tai Chi promotes serenity through gentle, flowing movements. Weather permitting.
Chair Yoga
11 a.m., Memorial Garden
All chair yoga exercises and postures will be done seated in a chair or standing, using a chair to aid with balance. Weather permitting.
Fourth of July Cookout
12-3:30 p.m., Saturday
Ward Catering will provide a cookout on the Hotel Lakeside lawn. Menu features a wide array of picnic food. A la carte items are $1-5 or order a $10 platter or $4 kids’ platter. All major credit cards and cash accepted. Find full menu here .
Watermelon-Decorating Contest
1 p.m., Saturday
Drop off an already carved, painted or decorated watermelon at the large white tent in Bettinger Park from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, July 4. Awards will be presented at 3:30 p.m. the same day at the Steele Memorial Bandstand.
Light up Lakeside
10 p.m., Saturday
Participate in Light Up Lakeside , a community-wide event that encourages all to decorate cottages, RVs, businesses and golf carts with patriotic décor and lights. Get creative by using flags, banners, Christmas lights, luminaries and lanterns.
Fireworks
9:45 p.m., Saturday
To practice safe social distancing during fireworks , we encourage guests to spread out along the entire lakefront. The dock will close at 7:30 p.m. that day.

Please note: guests are not permitted to reserve space for the fireworks until Saturday, July 4. Blankets and chairs may be removed by staff if necessary. In the event of inclement weather, the fireworks will move to Sunday, July 5.

The Adjustments
6 p.m., Sunday
We welcome The Adjustments , a favorite Northeast Ohio band, to the Steele Memorial Bandstand. They 'adjust' the music to the audience's mood and consistently put a unique spin on musical traditions.
Williams Family Doubles Tennis Tournament
Thursday
Join fellow tennis players for some friendly competition . Entry fee is $10. Register online and pay at the Williams Tennis Campus. Cash, credit card or Apple Pay is accepted.
Emily Syring & Jordan Millisor
7:30 p.m., Friday
Musical duo of Emily Syring and Jordan Millisor perform a wide variety of cover songs from 1970-1990, including Motown hits and timeless classics, to contemporary pop, folk and rock anthems.
What's Cooking with Chef Stacy
1:30 p.m., Monday
Join Chef Stacy Maple as she demonstrates how to make scones. In this virtual cooking demonstration, she'll share the history of afternoon tea and how this sweet treat found its way to the table. Video available on Facebook .
Lakeside Women's Club: Meet & Greet

At their first Tuesday meeting and program, meet Lakeside Women's Club (LWC ) members, recognize members who have passed away in the last year, and learn about activities, events and the club's new cookbook.
CLSC Round Table Discussion

Farmers' Market

The bi-weekly Farmers' Market has relocated to the greenspace around the Lakeside Schoolhouse to practice safe social distancing. View hours and safety protocols.
Picnic in Perry Park

For at least 20 years, Wednesday evenings have been an exciting day at Lakeside with a special family picnic . This summer’s event will have a few new twists. RSVP to this week's picnic .

Faith for Living Hour Monday-Thursday
This program will be held onsite in Chautauqua Hall and virtually. Material from the Rev. Dr. Anna Carter Florence’s most recent book,  Rehearsing Scripture: Discovering God's Word in Community, will be discussed.
Rhein Center Classes
Monday-Friday
Classes in the fine arts, practical arts and creative arts will be held under the Rhein Center's outdoor tents and virtually. Masks are required for in-person classes. Browse available classes for all ages and register today!

Ward Catering  offers a fresh menu of pre-ordered to-go meals every Thursday. Pre-order by 4 p.m. Wednesday. All meals are individually packaged as “heat-and-eat” refrigerated boxes. Limited quantities available.

American Red Cross Online Training Courses
This summer, Lakeside Chautauqua is partnering with the American Red Cross to offer online training courses . The courses will rotate each week. This week we're offering Cat & Dog First Aid; Adult First Aid/CPR/AED; Babysitter Basics; and Bloodborne Pathogens. Register here .

LWC Porch Stories

Explore a renewal of the Porch Stories series from the Steele Memorial Bandstand. The series has a foundation in “The Moth Hour” on PBS radio and Catherine Burns’ book, The Moth .

Lakeside’s own Chip Richter will bring family-friendly entertainment to the Steele Memorial Bandstand. While some seating is provided in Bettinger Park, guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets and to practice safe social distancing.

Storybook Walk
Monday & Friday
Families can exercise body and mind as they follow a path through Cherry Park where pages from a hand-picked storybook will be posted at stations along the way. New story every week.
MGM
Monday-Friday
Participants will discover the relevance of God in their lives, enjoy music, meet new friends and compete for candy in games and activities. Coordinated by John and Bonnie Wilkie.
God Squad
Tuesday-Thursday
This popular children's event features live music with interactive lessons and a fun craft. Coordinated by Chip Richter. Two sessions for different age groups: ages 4-6 and 7-9 .
Children's Church Celebration
9:30 a.m., Outside Bradley Temple
A Children's Church Celebration will begin with an outdoor processional at the conclusion of the Dockside Worship Service (approximately 9:30 a.m. at the Steele Memorial Bandstand) and proceed down Kenton Row and Cedar Avenue to Bradley Temple. The event will end by 10:15 a.m.
