Watermelon-Decorating Contest
1 p.m., Saturday
Drop off an already carved, painted or
decorated watermelon
at the large white tent in Bettinger Park from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, July 4. Awards will be presented at 3:30 p.m. the same day at the Steele Memorial Bandstand.

Light up Lakeside
10 p.m., Saturday
Participate in
Light Up Lakeside
, a community-wide event that encourages all to decorate cottages, RVs, businesses and golf carts with patriotic décor and lights. Get creative by using flags, banners, Christmas lights, luminaries and lanterns.

Fireworks
9:45 p.m., Saturday
|
To practice safe social distancing during
fireworks
, we encourage guests to spread out along the entire lakefront. The dock will close at 7:30 p.m. that day.
Please note: guests are not permitted to reserve space for the fireworks until Saturday, July 4. Blankets and chairs may be removed by staff if necessary. In the event of inclement weather, the fireworks will move to Sunday, July 5.

will begin with an outdoor processional at the conclusion of the Dockside Worship Service (approximately 9:30 a.m. at the Steele Memorial Bandstand) and proceed down Kenton Row and Cedar Avenue to Bradley Temple. The event will end by 10:15 a.m.
