1960.[London]
Superb autographed professional portrait photograph, nicely  mounted from the Commonwealth Prime Ministers, Heads of State or official representatives attending the conference held in London in May 1960. The photograph is autographed (some signatures very faded) by all eleven members in formal, sitting pose.

The 1960 Commonwealth Prime Ministers' meeting may well prove to have initiated a new stage in Commonwealth development. This was the first Commonwealth conference since Malayan independence in August 1957. At the meeting, Malaya's prime minister Tunku Abdul Rahman and his government vigorously opposed the apartheid policies of South Africa and, with the support of Pakistan, India and Ghana, demanded that the issue be addressed by the Commonwealth.
