REMINDER: Council Member Travis will honor citizen volunteers to recognize the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Harvey. These volunteers, nominated by District G super neighborhood leaders, went above and beyond the call of duty to help their neighbors in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. "The goodwill and loving spirit of Houstonians was on full display a year ago, and it is my privilege to honor certain individuals who made true sacrifices to help others," said Council Member Travis. 

Volunteers will be honored at a reception to be held tonight,  August 29, 2018, from 5:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., at Sylvia's Enchilada Kitchen, located at 1140 Eldridge Parkway (77077). Everyone who lives in District G is invited for a cold beverage, a bite of award-winning Mexican food, and to help us honor these great individuals.

Representatives from America's Cajun Navy will also be honored at the event.
