New Information on Back-to-School Procedures, Webinars
Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we close in on the start of a new school year, we are sharing Serra's Roadmap for Reopening, a working document that presents our detailed plans for the upcoming year. The contents of this document will be updated as health orders and conditions continue to change. We will be adding links and pertinent information to this document as we move forward. As is our practice, all communications will be simultaneously posted to our website.

Next week we will host Back to School orientations for each class in the form of a webinar. Be on the look for your webinar invitations that we will send at the beginning of the week. Parents with more than one student may want to attend only one webinar. The content, although tailored for each grade, will be similar. Each webinar will allow for time for questions. The dates are as follows:
  • Aug. 13  7 p.m. - Freshman Parent Orientation Webinar
  • Aug. 14  6 p.m. - Sophomore Parent Orientation Webinar
  • Aug. 14  7:30 p.m. - Junior Parent Orientation Webinar
  • Aug. 17  7 p.m. - Senior Parent Orientation Webinar
We have received county approval to host a drive-thru New Student Welcome and Pick Up on Aug. 14. More details will come, but we are looking forward to welcoming our new Padres in person and providing them with some items for the upcoming year! We will be communicating with freshmen parents and guardians about specifics.

Lastly, we are happy to share our Fall 2020 Schedule, which aligns our distance learning model with our hybrid model. School will begin at 8:15 a.m. and end at 2:30 p.m. The alignment of these two schedules reduces any interruption in class learning should our students shift from one model to the other based on health conditions or orders. We hope that this supports families in their planning for the fall semester.

We are aware that we are providing you with a lot of information. We want to ensure that you have the information necessary to get off to a great start of the year. Thank you for taking the time to familiarize yourself with the content and please feel free to contact us with questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Charlie McGrath
