The Illinois Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce our endorsement of Erika Harold for the next Illinois Attorney General. This is the first time in the our ninety-nine-year history that we have endorsed a candidate for Attorney General. Given Erika's commitment to reforming Illinois' Workers' Compensation system, ability to provide certainty to the business community, and capability to strike a balance between consumer protection and job creation, we believe she is the strongest candidate to be Illinois' next Attorney General.

Since Kwame Raoul became a state Senator fourteen-years ago, we have had a collaborative and cordial relationship with the Senator. However, his vision for the office is vastly different from what the business community wants to see out of the Attorney General's office.

The Illinois Chamber took this historic endorsement today because our next Attorney General will have an enormous impact on our state's economic future. Erika has outlined specific plans to reform Illinois' expensive and uncompetitive Workers' Compensation system and a whole host of other major policy reforms to restore trust and stability in state government.

I recently caught up with Erika to discuss the endorsement and the issues relevant to the Attorney General and the Illinois business community. You can watch that video below.  We hope that everyone, including Illinois' business community, joins us in supporting Erika Harold.

Sincerely,
