Included in the $880 million supplemental passed by the Legislature was $100 million to be spent on grants to help small businesses as they reopen. As a continuation of the $10 million Michigan Small Business Relief grant program created back on March 19th, the program will provide grants up to $20,000 to small businesses to help cover payroll, rent, mortgage payments, utility expenses, costs associated with reopening or other uses authorized in the federal CARES Act.
