PaCCHS Presents "Alexander Hamilton and the Federalist Papers"

Please join the Commonwealth Court judges, staff, and PaCCHS members on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at 5:30 p.m., for a very special lecture and reception.

The evening will begin with a lecture entitled, Alexander Hamilton and the Federalist Papers, by James Hoefler, Professor of Political Science at Dickinson College. Alexander Hamilton’s importance to the founding and early success of the United States of America would be difficult to overstate.  Perhaps no founding father started with less and contributed more, both on the military fields of battle during the Revolutionary War and on political fields of battle during the early years of the republic.  Even more important than the contributions he made during his duel-shortened life, perhaps, is Hamilton’s legacy of thought that still guide and inform the worlds of commerce, politics, and jurisprudence to this day.  (One substantive CLE/CJE credit will be available for attendance at the lecture.)

Following the lecture, we will gather for cocktails (cash bar) and hors d'oeuvres in the newly renovated Country Club of Harrisburg.  Don't miss this special event!

The Commonwealth Court Historical Society was established in 2007 to educate the public about the history of the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania and to preserve the Court's heritage and contribution to Pennsylvania jurisprudence since 1970.  Membership is open to any individual who is interested in advancing the purposes of the Historical Society.
