SBDC Ends Fiscal Year on High Note

On Sept. 30, the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) marked the end of its fiscal year. Throughout the year, the SBDC upheld its mission to support entrepreneurs of all backgrounds and scales, whether the entrepreneur was in his or her first steps of planning a business or whether the small business had been an established part of the northwest Ohio community for decades.

Export Success 2020 Helps Your Business Get Over Exporting Hurdles

Tackling export issues can be quite challenging if you aren’t familiar with the process.

This program is strategically designed to meet the needs of small and medium-sized businesses interested in expanding into global markets. Chamber Celebrates #SmallBizSat with Free Promo Kit Giveaway

In 2010, American Express launched Small Business Saturday, the first Saturday after Thanksgiving, to support small businesses that were struggling in the wake of the recession. This year, Small Business Saturday falls on Nov. 30, and the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce and Small Business Development Center are joining in to celebrate and uplift small businesses in the Toledo region.

While all small businesses are encouraged to take part in Small Business Saturday, Chamber members can snag a promo kit packed with goodies like a #SmallBizSat welcome mat and bags to welcome customers.

We’re looking for outstanding stories to include in a special section of this year’s Toledo Region Year In Review. This magazine is distributed each year at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting, and it showcases the top stories from the previous 12 months.

TechCred Deadline is October 31st

Ohio's TechCred Program gives businesses the chance to up-skill current and future employees in today’s tech-infused economy. The program is expected to fund up to 20,000 technology-focused credentials over the next two years. The last day to submit an application for the first round of the TechCred program is Thursday, Oct. 31.



Oct. 26 is National Prescription Take Back Day

Oct. 26 is National Prescription Take Back Day, a great time to get rid of unused medications. If you can’t get to a disposal site or you prefer to dispose of medications at home, visit the Rx Abuse Leadership Initiative Ohio (RALI) of Ohio site to learn about safe disposal methods. Visit takebackday.dea.gov to find a location near you.
