Doctor's Tip for the week

Kids and Vaccines: A Simple Guide

We explain how vaccines work, which ones kids need, and why we vaccinate against diseases that no longer exist.

Immunizations, or vaccines as they're also known, safely and effectively use a small amount of a weakened or killed virus or bacteria or bits of lab-made protein that imitate the virus in order to prevent infection by that same virus or bacteria.

Parenting Tip for the week

Simple Chores Children Can (and Should) Do

Kids learn how to be responsible and self-sufficient when you give them new tasks. They can do a lot more than you might think.

Chores teach kids important life skills and that the whole family pitches in to make the household work. When can they start? Toddlers love to help, so let them!

News From LTA
View From The Front

Dear LTA Families,

We had a fun time discussing sports last week! There were so many fun activities to help keep us physically fit. Toddler 1 and Preschool classrooms will keep sports theme alive this upcoming week. Both classrooms have age-appropriate exercises for their students to engage in. Toddler 2 will focus on the theme 'Back to School'. Both Waddler classrooms and PreK-2 are all about music this week. Kids like songs that repeat words and melodies, use rhythms with a definite beat, and ask them to do things. I am sure students will come home with tons of sing-a-longs.  Last, but not least... PreK-1 will have a 'color week'. Colors will be their primary focus among this week activities. Can't wait for the fun week ahead!

Let's make this a great week!

We want to welcome Ms. Lateshia Langhorne from PreK-1 classroom who will work as Interim Assistant Director till she gets her Admin credentials. Ms. Lateshia has her Bachelors in Child Development and
she is doing her Admin coursework this semester.

Spanish and sign language from Sept 4th
We are so excited to start Spanish for everyone 18 months and older and sign language for infants and younger toddlers. Toddlers and 2's will have Spanish on Mondays and 3's and up on Wednesdays. Sign language will be on Fridays. Ms. Angelica will be the teacher for both.

A note for parents of infants
On the infant feeding form there are questions which you have to answer after you read this. We would really appreciate if you brought the forms back with all the answers.
