Product News...

We're excited to announce some great new products!
David has been working on some wonderful new products, and we're pleased to be able to announce them. David Winston's Metabolic Support formula helps support healthy blood sugar levels already in the normal range. This new approach to blood sugar support formulated by David contains: Bitter Melon fruit, Cinnamon bark, Fenugreek seed, Olive leaf, Artichoke leaf, Holy Basil herb, Lycium fruit

Bitter Melon fruit ( Mormordica charantia) is eaten as a food and used as a medicine throughout India, China, Southeast Asia and the Caribbean. This herbal extract helps support healthy blood sugar levels already in the normal range. While the vast majority of Bitter Melon extracts on the market are powdered herbs, thi s extract is made in relatively small batches from fresh herbs in the traditional herbalist process.

Compound Arnica Oil This incredibly effective blend of herbs providing penetrating body relief has been reformatted for delivery in the convenient no-mess roll-on bottle Dragon's Dream Oil™ users have raved about. Each botanical in this product is infused separately into certified organic olive oil for maximum quality.  The oils are then blended to make this soothing formula.

Product Update...
OsteoHerb™ Is Back
Our popular formula to support healthy bone structure has been out of stock. This sometimes happens when we are unable to get one of the ingredients in the high quality we, and you, expect. We are pleased to have this back in stock.
Sneak Preview of our New Website

We are hard at work on a new, easier to navigate website, which will be launching by Thanksgiving. We will be updating and clarifying much of the information, but the best part is the shopping cart functionality: after setting up an account, customers will be able to view previous orders, and set up automatic reorders. We will also introduce special programs for loyal customers.
Kits Are Convenient

Have you checked out our kits? These are collections of products in 1 oz. sizes that are often used in conjunction with each other.

As school resumes in a few weeks so does the need for the Healthy Kids Support Kit. These alcohol-free liquid formulas are designed to keep kids comfortable and healthy, addressing common complaints like ears and tummy. The kit contains: Healthy Kid's Compound™ to support healthy immune function; Kid's Calmpound™ to balance healthy nervous system function; Kid's Tummy Relief™ to promote healthy digestion; and Compound Mullein Oil, a soothing ear oil. David Winston's guidance in the package explains when to select each product.

Another popular kit is the Travel Kit. Essential for any vacation or business trip, it contains Original Bitters™, Herbal Relief™ Botanical Throat Spray, Phytocalm™ and Andrographis.

David Winston's Students: Where Are They Now?

For each newsletter we interview one of David Winston's former s
tudents to find out what motivated them to learn about herbal medicine and how they are using their training.

Our interview this summer is with Andrea Baldwin, herbalist to humans and horses. She founded Equibotanical from her desire to understand the traditional way animals and humans have allied themselves with the plant kingdom to restore balance to their mind and body.    http://www.equibotanical.com/

Media Recaps

When NutraIngredients-USA wrote about the impact climate change is having on botanicals,

Several trade publications reported on concerns that the ongoing trade disputes will cause disruptions to the industry .

Adaptogens continue to be a hot topic in the herb world, and with consumers. Earlier this year, several trade magazines asked H&A for input explaining adaptogens and their uses.

David's 2016-2018 class is deep into their studies in the current Herbalist Training Program. If you've thought about expanding your herbal medicine knowledge, you can't do better than this two-year program, which David has been teaching for 36 years. David's past students use their training in a variety of ways: clinical work, research, hospital care, product manufacturing, retailing and educating.

Thinking about enrolling in the September 2018 class?  You can attend the two-year course in person or online. Classes are held once a week on Tuesday evenings.
