FCC rules vacant space not for NextGen TV
Broadcasters will not be allowed to use vacant channel space for NextGen TV deployment, the Federal Communications Commission has ruled and he National Association of Broadcasters has thanked the FCC for clarifying regulations, saying its members are eager to launch the improved services NextGen technology will facilitate.  Read More

No Wholesale Pricing Disclosures to be Required in Drug Advertising - Appeals Court Upholds Lower Court Rejection of HHS Requirement

ABIP 11Reserve Your 2020 ABIP Inspection Now
The MAB's Alternative Broadcast Inspection Program (ABIP) is a unique partnership between the MAB and the FCC under which stations that participate can receive a three-year exemption from routine FCC inspections.  Scheduling is still available for the 2020 Alternative Broadcast Inspection Program (ABIP). The MAB will conducts these alternative inspections regionally through October.  Learn More

Michelle Duke Named NAB Chief Diversity Officer
National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) President and CEO Gordon Smith announced Thursday (618) that Michelle Duke will assume the role of Chief Diversity Officer, effective July 1. In the newly created position, Duke will spearhead NAB's internal efforts to further equity and inclusion at all levels of the organization and elevate NAB's external role as a resource to NAB member companies in their efforts to increase and promote industry diversity.  Read More

How to Use Shownotes Pages to Grow Your Radio Station's Email Database

When a podcaster publishes a new episode, they usually also create a new page on their website to serve as a home for that episode. These are called "shownotes" pages because, in addition to an embedded audio player for the episode, these pages include additional text, such as a description of the episode and links to things mentioned in the episode. Shownotes pages help podcasters grow their shows by providing a link that can be shared on social media and be indexed by search engines like Google.   Read More
