Meeting Dress Requirements

Air Force: Service Dress for both meetings.  Civilian clothes are authorized on travel days.

Army: ASUs for both meetings.  Business Casual attire is appropriate for day of arrival and departure for Army members.

- Army members traveling in a Permissive Temporary Duty (PTDY) status are not required to wear their uniform.

* Navy: Service Dress Blues for both meetings. (Sweater or Eisenhower jacket is authorized with Blues unless presenting.)  Civilian clothes are authorized on travel days.

 - Members on Permissive TAD orders are not required to wear their uniform.  

*  PHS/IHS:  Service dress blues for both meetings. Business casual approved for travel days.

VA:  Business professional 

Civil Service & GS:  Business professional

** There are 4 Rosen hotels in the close proximity!  Make sure to make note of the address. It is the closest one to the Convention Center and is connected to it via a skybridge.**


Transportation to/from Orlando International Airport (MCO) 

The hotel and convention center are just 15 minutes away from the airport. 

* Airport shuttles: $22 per person round trip.  Shuttle is available through the hotel and must be booked 24 hours in advanced.  Call the hotel at 407-996-9700 and ask for the Expedia Desk to reserve. 

* Taxi cab: 
One way approx. $47

* Uber fare:  One way approx. $25

* Super Shuttle:  One way approx. $20

3 Hours of COPE Approved Education Targeted for Clinical Educators

~ Monday, Oct 21st from 5-7:30pm ~

USUHS (Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences) presents 3 hours of clinical educator faculty development to hone the skills of our federal service optometrists targeting clinical teaching through direct observation, precepting, and role modeling. (Limited attendance)

*This class runs opposed to the AFOS General Session Monday evening*

iPhone/iPad:   Go to the app store and search for "OE TRACKER." Find the OE TRACKER app and touch to download. Alternatively, you can also download the OE TRACKER app from iTunes. 

Android Phone: Download the app from Google Play. Go to Google Play on your Android phone and search for "OE TRACKER." Find the OE TRACKER app and touch the install button. 

* You will need to know your OE Tracker number and password in order to login to the app as a course attendee.  If you do not have your password, please call ARBO at 866-869-6852 to retrieve it.*

* If you do not have a smart phone or handheld device, we will be able to enter the CE for you.
