As Medicare Enrollment Nears, Popular Price Comparison Tool Is Missing - "
Medicare officials say the total cost calculator will be fixed in time for the annual enrollment season
, which starts nationwide Oct. 15 and runs through Dec. 7. But they have yet to address multiple other issues raised by the Medicare Rights Center and industry groups."

To help make the underwriting process even easier for you,
Aetna will no longer require or offer a Proprietary point-of-sale telephone interview as of October 1, 2019. Theyβll also be discontinuing the voice signature option.
- If any point-of-sale interviews are still pending after October 1, the phone line will still be available to use until those interviews are complete.
- Instead of a voice signature, youβll continue to have 3 easy signature options for your electronic applications: security question signature, in person signature, email signature.

Underwriting process enhancements started October 1. The underwriting process will give you faster decisions for underwritten Aetna Medicare Supplement applications. Most applications will have a decision within a few minutes. This change also comes with an updated online application tracker, to give you clearer visibility to those decisions.
The online enrollment tracker will also be updated starting October 1 to give you better visibility to the real-time status of your applications.

knows your time is valuable, particularly during AEP. That's why they're providing a daily update (Monday - Friday) on your business process turnaround times from October 15 through December 15th. Look for the status banner and notice on the
AgentView
home page.

Effective 10/16/2019, the 5 year payment option will be eliminated for
Gerber's College plan. Going forward, the available payment options will include:
- Pay to maturity: issue ages: 18-60
- Single pay: issue ages: 18-75 females
- Single pay: issue ages: 18-70 males
|

The Gerber Life College Plan applications have been updated to reflect the removal of the 5 year payment option. The updated paper applications and the application kits will be available for download on the
Agent Portal
on 10/16/2019. The electronic applications will also be updated for applications submitted on 10/16/2019.
Applications requesting the five year payment option received on or after 10/16/2019 will not be processed.
