Operation Safe Stop
Wednesday, October 23

North Allegheny is partnering with local law enforcement agencies to participate in Operation Safe Stop on Wednesday, October 23.  Operation Safe Stop is a proactive approach to educate the public that passing a stopped school bus is both dangerous and illegal.

Next Wednesday, October 23, the public may see police vehicles following North Allegheny buses in the morning and afternoon. The goal for the officers monitoring from the police car behind the bus is to intervene when they see a motorist violate  Pennsylvania School Bus Stopping Law requirements. Please do not be alarmed by the increased police presence as our local law enforcement partners promote school bus safety to the community.
