With the Petroleum engineering background, Mr. Marsili worked in Eni and Enterprise Oil before joining Shell 16 years ago as Area Development Lead for Gannet cluster in UK North Sea. Mr. Marsili covered a number of Asset Commercial roles in UK and Italy. Mr. Marsili worked in NBD as Head of M&A in Shell Energy Europe and as Senior Business Development Manager responsible for the Iraq South Gas project.

More recently Mr. Marsili worked as the Venture Implementation Manager and Commercial Director for Basra Gas Company Joint Venture in Iraq.

Exxon Mobil Acquires Stake In Block Offshore Namibia

Epmag.com, August 14, 2018: ExxonMobil Namibia, an affiliate of Exxon Mobil Corp., has entered an agreement with Namibian explorer Azinam Ltd. to acquire a 30% interest in petroleum exploration license (PEL) 44 offshore Namibia, according to a news release on Aug. 14.
Azinam, which is backed by the Seacrest Capital Group, will retain a 12.5% interest with Maurel and Prom, the license operator, retaining its current 42.5% equity interest, Azinam said in the release. Namibian partners NAMCOR, Livingstone Mining and Frontier Minerals would also retain their carried interests of 8%, 4% and 3%, respectively. Read more...
Gazprom leads global capex across oil and gas value chain

Offshore-technology.com, August 10, 2018: GlobalData's latest report, H1 2018 Top Global Oil and Gas Companies Planned Projects and Capital Expenditure Outlook - Gazprom Leads Global Capex across Oil and Gas Value Chain, identifies Gazprom, China Petrochemical Corp (Sinopec), and Royal Dutch Shell are the top spenders among all oil and gas companies across oil and gas value chain by 2025 on planned and announced projects. Gazprom tops the list with estimated capex of $160bn expected to be spent on 84 oil and gas projects globally. Sinopec and Royal Dutch Shell follow with $87bn (74 projects) and $86bn (91 projects).

Russia to increase oil production in 2019 - OPEC

Tass.com, August 13, 2018: Russian oil producers will boost crude production next year largely owing to the start of several greenfield projects, the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) said in its report on Monday. "In 2019, Russian oil companies have the potential to increase production through green field development. Incremental production of oil, NGLs and condensate could come from several projects, such as Uvat, East-Siberian, Vankorneft, Messoyakha and Yamal LNG," OPEC said.  Read more...
Nord Stream 2 AG receives all permits for gas pipeline construction in Russia

Tass.com, August 14, 2018: Nord Stream 2 AG, the operator of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline project, obtained a permit for laying the subsea segment of the gas line in the territorial sea of the Russian Federation, the company says on Tuesday. The permit was issued by the Russian environmental regulator and covers a 114 km gas pipeline segment on the bottom of the Russian territorial sea. Practical implementation of the project within the framework of the granted permit will start shortly. Read more...
Russia to lead global underground gas storage capacity additions

Hydrocarbons-technology.com, August 14, 2018: GlobalData's latest report, Global Capacity and Capital Expenditure Outlook for Gas Storage - Russia to Lead in Gas Storage Capacity Additions, suggests that the global underground working gas storage capacity is expected to grow by 19% during 2018 to 2022, from the current 14.9 billion cubic feet (bcf) in 2018 to around 17.8bcf in 2022.  Read more...
Russian researchers develop new steel to double service life of oil-field pipelines

Greencarcongress.com, August 13, 2018: On the request of PAO Severstal, one of the world's largest metallurgical steel companies, scientists at Russia's NUST MISIS have developed a new steel alloy called SeverCorr for oil-field pipelines that reduces the environmental risks of oil production and increases its efficiency.  Read more...
Russia agriculture ministry meets grain exporters on volumes

Reuters.com, August 17, 2018: Russia's agriculture ministry said it held a meeting on Friday with grain exporters to discuss export volumes of grains.
Traders, including some who were at the meeting, said the ministry will consider curbing 2018/19 exports once they reach 30 million tonnes following a request from meat producing regions, but added no decision had been made about how this might be implemented.
The ministry, however, said it did not discuss curbs on grain exports at the meeting.  Read more...

Businesswire.com, August 16, 2018: The "Automotive Market in Russia 2018" report has been added to ResearchAndMarkets.com'soffering.  Last year the sales of commercial vehicles (LCV, trucks, buses) came up to the level of 200,000 vehicles, that is almost 28% more than a year ago. The demand for the new passenger cars grew by 12.3% up to almost 1.5 million vehicles.  The recovered passenger car market and good dynamics of commercial vehicle market resulted in the growth in the Russian automotive industry.  Read more...
NASA Administrator Plans to Meet With Russian Space Agency Chief in Near Future

Sputniknews.com, August 13, 2018: Jim Bridenstine, the administrator of the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), said he was ready to hold a meeting with Dmitry Rogozin, the head of the Russian space agency Roscosmos, in the near future. On Sunday, Roscosmos said that Rogozin would hold talks with Bridenstine at the Baikonur spaceport in October. Houston - Tyumen Sister Cities
The Tyumen region increases its industrial production

Admtyumen.ru, August 15, 2018: The industrial production index of the Tyumen region for the period of January-July 2018 reached 109.1% compared to the same period of last year. According to Tyumenstat, good results were observed for manufacturing industries with their index reaching 109.7%. Mineral production index increased, reaching 108%. It also increased in the field of provision of services associated with mineral production, reaching 136.7%. Read more...

Baku to host German-Azerbaijani Business Forum

Azernews.az, August 15, 2018: On Oct. 9, 2018, the German-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce (AHK Azerbaijan) will organize the German-Azerbaijani Business Forum "Energy and ICT in Azerbaijan" with support of the German Eastern Business Association (Ost-Ausschuss - Osteuropaverein der Deutschen Wirtschaft e.V.), the press service of the AHK Azerbaijan stated.
The aim of the event is to present projects, proposals and needs of German and Azerbaijani companies and to identify current opportunities for cooperation.
The main focus of the Forum will be on reforms and perspectives for partnerships in the energy and ICT sectors. High-level representatives of the Azerbaijani government are expected to attend the opening ceremony of the Forum.   Read more...
Kazakhstan's car industry grows by 74%

En.trend.az, August 17, 2018: In July 2018, some 2,586 vehicles of all types have been manufactured in Kazakhstan, which is 7.3 percent less than in June 2018, the Association of Kazakhstan Auto Business (Aqaba) said in a statement Aug. 17.
The cost of products of car industry released in July is estimated at 15.53 billion tenge, the message says. At the same time, the total outcome of seven months of 2018 exceeds the same outcome in the last year by 32.3 percent (103.79 billion tenge against 78.47 billion tenge).
Production volumes in units have exceeded 73.9 percent the last year's indicator (17 246 against 9 918 units).

Trade turnover between Kazakhstan's Mangystau, Russia up by over 9%

Azernews.az, August 13, 2018: The trade turnover between the Mangystau region of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation amounted to more than $52 million in the first five months of 2018, said the message on the website of Kazakhstan's embassy in Russia. This figure has increased by 9.4 percent compared to the same period last year, the message says. Kazakh-tv.kz,  August 15, 2018: Today, Iran, Russia, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan have close economic relations with Kazakhstan. For example, the trade turnover between Mangystau region and Russia exceeded US$52 million within five months of this year. 300 enterprises with Russian investment were registered in various industries of the region. NURADIL IMANGALIYEV, SPOKESPERSON, DEPARTMENT FOR INDUSTRIAL AND INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT: - Over the past three years, we have seen 33 per cent increase in trade between the Caspian littoral countries. If the total trade turnover amounted to US$165.8 million in 2015, then this figure has increased to US$220.5 million in 2017. Russia makes up the largest share of this trade turnover. Профицит бюджета России за январь-июль составил 2,5% ВВП
