CURRENT COMMUNITY MITIGATION LEVEL 
PHASE II
Hot Springs Village continues to keep our members informed on the latest information about COVID-19 locally and in the state of Arkansas. Currently, we are continuing to follow Phase 2 Directives from the Arkansas Department of Health.

If you have COVID-19, a public health worker may call you to check on your health, discuss who you've been in contact with, and ask you to stay home to self-isolate, if you aren't doing so already. State of Arkansas  
 
Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson's directive on wearing masks went into effect today.  
 
According to the directive, the Secretary of Health requires every person in Arkansas to wear a face-covering completely over the mouth and nose in all indoor environments, excluding private residences, where they are exposed to non-household members and distancing of 6 feet or more cannot be assured and in all outdoor settings, excluding private residences, where there is exposure to non-household members, unless there exists ample space of 6 feet or more to practice physical distancing.

There were 771 cases detected in the state on Saturday and 695 on Sunday, bringing the weekend total to 1,466 cases detected. There were 699 cases detected today, bringing the state's cumulative total to 33,927. Of the cases detected today, 60 were in Pulaski County and 24 were in Garland County. Of the 699 cases, 11 were in prisons and 688 were in the community.  
 
The state's hospitalizations also saw an increase of 18 more people hospitalized, bringing that total to 471. Of the 471 people hospitalized, 111 are on ventilators. 
 
There were six more deaths reported since yesterday, bringing the state's total to 363.    

As of today, 7,127 cases are considered active with 121 in nursing homes, 1,093 in correctional facilities and 5,953 in the community.

Saline & Garland Counties 
Numbers of cases by city are now available at https://achi.net/covid19/. The table shows cumulative numbers of positive COVID-19 cases and rate per 100 individuals in Arkansas cities as of July 9, based on data from the Arkansas Department of Health. The counts do not include cases among jail populations. Cities with fewer than 10 cases are not included.   
 
Two cities that residents of Hot Springs Village frequent, Hot Springs and Benton, are on the list. As of July 9, 200 cases have been detected in Hot Springs and 175 in Benton.  
 
As of Monday, Saline County, 584 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Saline County and 11,416 have tested negative. This is an increase of 44 since Friday. Of those testing positive, 438 have recovered. The death total remains at three.  
 
Garland County currently has 473 cumulative cases of COVID-19. That's an increase of 79 since Friday. So far, 318 people are considered recovered and 9,898 have tested negative. Total deaths remain at five.    
 
Grove Park Recycling Trailer Guidelines 
The recycle trailer is going back into service this Thursday, July 23. Residents may drop off recyclable products at Grove Park (1105 Desoto Blvd) every Thursday. Here is a listing of what we accept :
 
Aluminum - Aluminum cans only. This means soda cans, beer cans, etc. We cannot accept aluminum foil, pie plates, steel cans or tin cans ( e.g., soup cans).
 
Glass - Glass bottles that are typically considered household glass (wine bottles, beer bottles, mineral water bottles, medicine bottles) and do not contain any hazardous chemicals.
 
Newspaper - Newspapers and phone books ONLY.
 
Paper - Office paper, junk mail, magazines, etc. Paper that would be on an office desk is included in this category.
 
Plastics - No. 1 and No. 2 plastics only .  No. 1 p lastics include water bottles, soda bottles, cooking oil bottles, juice bottles, etc. There will be a "1" on the bottom of these bottles.  
 
No. 2 Plastics include milk jugs, liquid laundry detergent and fabric softener bottles, bleach bottles, cleaning agent bottles, shampoo/hair product bottles and shower/body wash bottles. These bottles will have a "2" on the bottom.
 
No. 1 and No. 2 Plastics do not have to be sorted or separated.
 
We are not able to accept any other plastics other than No. 1 and No. 2.
 
No Cardboard, Please
We are not able to accept any cardboard or boxes, including pizza boxes, cereal boxes, soap boxes or shoe boxes.
