New Hymnals and Hymn Sing
TONIGHT, October 17th, from 6:30-8:00pm
As part of familiarizing ourselves with the new hymnal, you're invited to a hymn sing TONIGHT in the MIPC Sanctuary. We'll take requests for favorite hymns, try some new additions, and enjoy this time of gathering together in song.

Collections of hymns, psalms and spiritual songs give voice to the worshiping community's conceptions of God and articulate profound aspects of the life of faith.

Glory to God  includes 853 hymns, psalms and spiritual songs covering all major historical and contemporary sacred genres.  Through its musical depth and breadth - including classic, contemporary, global and ecumenical repertoire - Glory to God helps us to join our voices with the faithful in every time and place. Through its theological organization - highlighting the themes of salvation history and the pattern of God's action and our response - Glory to God immerses us in the great story of God's saving work. Each selection also includes a few sentences of the hymn's story to bring context and additional meaning to congregational singing .

If you dedicated a hymnal in the past and would like to retrieve it, they are available on a table in the family room. Or ask Dan to look for it.

Sanctuary Flowers Invitation
If I had a flower for every time I thought of you, I could walk through my garden forever. ~Tennyson

Each Sunday, you have the opportunity to add an element of beauty to the Sanctuary.  Consider donating flowers to celebrate a family member birthday, anniversary, graduation, or in memory of a loved one.  Flowers can be from your garden, your favorite grocery store or a florist, whatever works best for you.  Arrangements can be any size.  It's easy to sign up on our SignUpGenius calendar or talk to Brian at frontdesk@mipc.org

Because some are allergic to floral fragrances, it's best to plan flowers without strong fragrances.  Your beautiful donation will be recognized in the Sunday bulletin.  Thank you.
