Klug, Tuan to meet with Washington DC Leaders

XWA on track for Oct. 10, 2019 Opening
KUMV-TV - New airport construction is continuing to move forward and was the main focus of the Williston City Commission meeting Tuesday evening. The XWA project team received approval on two task orders for construction on the commercial parking lot and navigational aide installation. They also discussed a new provider for electronic advertising opportunities for the current airport, Sloulin Field International.  Read More
Williston Fire Department receives Recognition
Williston Fire Department Ambulance Service recently received recognition for Pediatric Preparedness by the North Dakota EMS for Children Program. KUMV-TV

Energy Festival Aug. 24-25 in Williston
Minneapolis' Metallica tribute band - ONE will be featured at the Energy Festival.
Williston Herald - The Williston Energy Festival is energizing the community for the fourth year in a row. The annual event is presented by U.S. Energy and is designed to showcase and celebrate the energy industry in the Bakken region. It takes place on Aug. 24 and 25 and features a variety of activities. Kicking off August 24 at the Raymond Family Community Center, the festival features a job fair and community expo, with a kid's zone, face painting and a free community appreciation feed at 6 p.m.    Read More

Clean Up Williston Sept. 29

Williston Economic Development - The City of Williston is calling on families, friends, co-workers and colleagues to help clean up Williston on Saturday, Sept. 29! The citywide cleanup will be headquartered in the parking lot at Davidson Park and Aafedt Stadium from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cleanup volunteers are welcome to pick supplies, register for a cleanup zone, drop off recyclables such as scrap metal, cardboard and residential tires (limit four per household) and enjoy a free lunch. Crosby may build New Outdoor Pool

Crosby Journal - Crosby city and park officials have taken the first steps toward potentially replacing the public swimming pool. The pool, now over 60 years old, has been suffering from cracks in the concrete and excessive water loss. Mayor Bert Anderson said at the city council meeting recently that he would like to ensure the future of the pool. "I think we have got our money's worth out of that pool," Anderson said. The owner of Watford City's Metanoia, held a grand opening of her new business on Aug. 4.  After experiencing some health issues, Collins began exploring healthier options. Help clean up Williston from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Supplies and refreshments will be available at Davidson Park. There will also be roll-offs for used tires (four maximum), metals and other materials. Help keep Williston clean and pick up up trash in your neighborhood, business, boulevards and parks.
