Dear Beloved Ones of Grace,
I hope that this email finds you well and in good health. It has been so long since we have been together and my heart at different times longs for the day when we can all worship as one body. This pandemic has taught many lessons along the way of what it means to be the Church in uncertain times such as these.
One thing that has become clear to me is the desire to come out of this pandemic better prepared for those who will find their way to Grace in the future. The number of folks who have worshiped with us virtually and who have personally been in touch via our current social media platforms has been remarkable. I am convinced the need for meaningful connection with a community of faith as well as with an Ever-Present God has never been stronger.
Grace has experienced a renaissance in recent days. There has been re-birth as well as spiritual awakening which is both exciting and full-speed. With the pandemic, we have seen more visits to our Facebook page as well as our website. In an honest reflection, our current Grace website is in desperate need of attention. This is why I come to you with this letter.
Now more than ever we are aware of the need for an updated website to better connect and serve the community simply by presenting images and information clearly, intentionally, and with easier access across all platforms (mobile, tablet, and desktop). This will aid with the growth of a community, increase congregation size, and over all give the congregation something to be proud to share with friends, family and strangers.
During this time of pandemic, we have been earnestly looking for someone to help create and make a website of which we can be proud. We have a number of proposals for the new website but have zeroed in on a designer whose proposal has really captured the essence of what we seek to achieve with our new website. He is a graphic artist from Nashville, TN who has helped other Episcopal churches with their websites. His work is simple and tells stories through pictures.
We have a $3,000 gap to fund our new website (a parishioner has graciously given $2,000 for the new website). I am humbly asking if you feel led to contribute to this new website, know that I would be most grateful. I truly believe that a new and improved website will be one of our most valuable tools for missional and outreach work that Grace can share with our community and world.
We have added an option for giving to the website through our
online giving portals
if you choose to give in this manner. This may be the face of Grace for a long time to come, so I would ask that if you are able, please join in this effort. God is already at work in the world, let us join Him in this work by sharing the good news of Grace in this way.
Thank you...as always,
