It takes a Village at Clemyjontri Park

On July 28, 2018, Dranesville District Supervisor John Foust, the Park Authority, Park Foundation representatives and numerous supporters (pictured above) gathered to celebrate two exciting additions. This event marked the ceremonial opening of a new Picnic Celebration Area made possible thanks to generous contributions from McLean Community Foundation, Rotary Club of McLean, the Friends of Clemyjontri Park, Amy and Jeff Sonderman, and the friends and family of Sue Rowell, a longtime supporter and advocate for people with disabilities.

The Friends of Clemyjontri Park also funded the new trackless train and a forthcoming train station. Partnership recognition was also extended to partner, McLean Project for the Arts, and Wheat's for pro-bono landscaping services.  This project exemplifies what is possible when many join together for a worthy cause!
